Wow, you have him look so alive, like he's really putting weight into his limbs and like he's going to move at any moment.  And to think it's a skunk to fit this pose so well.  It's so amusing.  What inspired you to choose skunk?  For it makes a more unusual gryphon.

One point was that I love spotted skunks and had lots of different kinds of black and white feathers, but another big reason was that it's easier to avoid ethical dilemmas. There's a big feral colony full of black and calico cats up the road and they're always getting hit by cars, but people get pretty emotional about cats.

I didn't want viewers wondering about the source of the furry butt instead of just seeing a griffin.

Aw, it's sad people cannot enjoy the art for what it is.  Poor skunk, he doesn't get the love cats get.
